WHY I CREATED THIS PIN

Recently, I created a Pinterest pin that feels deeply personal to me.

At first glance, it may look like a beautiful image with soft colors, a swirl of light, and different scenes representing important roles in my life.

But to me, it means much more.

It tells my story.

For over 40 years, diabetes has touched my life in just about every way imaginable.

I am not diabetic myself.

But I have lived alongside diabetes for decades.

As a nurse, I have cared for countless patients living with diabetes and its complications.

As a wife, I walk beside my husband on his diabetes journey every day.

As a caregiver, I have seen how deeply diabetes affects families, relationships, emotions, and daily life.

And as a woman of faith, I know the power of prayer, hope, and leaning on God in difficult seasons.

Each part of this pin represents one of those roles:

  • A nurse

  • A wife

  • A caregiver

  • A woman of faith

All of those roles have shaped my heart and my purpose.

Together, they have become one mission:

To help you.

I created Faithful Steps because I know diabetes is about much more than blood sugar numbers.

It can bring:

  • fear

  • exhaustion

  • confusion

  • frustration

  • burnout

  • loneliness

Sometimes people don’t need more information.

Sometimes they simply need someone who understands.

Someone who will listen.

Someone who cares.

Someone who will pray.

That is the heart behind Faithful Steps.

This is a place where you can find:

  • practical diabetes education

  • low-carb recipes

  • support

  • encouragement

  • prayer

Most importantly, I want you to know this:

You do not have to walk this road alone.

Whether you are newly diagnosed, have lived with diabetes for years, or love someone who struggles with diabetes—you are welcome here.

I am glad you are here.

And I would love to hear your story.

“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20
