Last night I made the most delicious spareribs that I think I ever prepared. It was amazingly simple but did take 2.5 hours to cook. There are only 4 ingredients (not including the meat) but the last one is the most important.

INGREDIENTS

Uncut rack of ribs (I used baby back ribs)

Soy sauce

Garlic powder

Onion powder

G Hughes Smokehouse Sugar Free BBQ Sauce-Hickory Flavor*

DIRECTIONS

Heat oven to 250 degrees

  1. Spray non-stick spray on large casserole dish

  2. Place ribs, meat side up, in dish

  3. Liberally coat ribs with soy sauce

  4. The same can be done with the garlic and onion powder

  5. Cover dish with aluminum foil and place on center rack in oven and set timer for 1 hour and 40 minutes

  6. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees and cut rack into individual ribs

  7. Use a basting brush to coat each rib with a thick layer of BBQ sauce

  8. Return dish to oven, uncovered, for an additional 20 minutes.

I am a lover of anything BBQ and I think it mostly has to do with the taste of the meal with the BBQ sauce. I have tried a few different "sugar free" recipes and was never satisfied with the outcome. Regular BBQ sauces have fairly high amounts of carbs from sugars or honey or other sweeteners.

On a whim I tried G Hughs brand Smokehouse Sugar Free BBQ Sauce-Hickory Flavor and I am hooked. It is bursting with flavor with only 2 grams of carbohydrates in 2 tablespoons, none of which is sugar. There are other flavors as well and I've also used this product on chicken which is also delicious.

Go to www.GHughssugarfree.com to view the list of ingredients. It does, however, use sucralose as it's sweetener which is Keto friendly and does not impact blood sugar. He also has a line of dipping sauces and a sugar free ketchup which is also very good.

Making foods from scratch is always a better option but it is nice to know that companies are really starting to produce high quality and tasteful foods for low car eaters to enjoy.

Drop me a line and let me know how your ribs came out.

Have a blessed day

Ezekiel 24:10 says, "Heap on the wood, kindle the fire, cook the meat well, mix in the spices, and let the bones be burned."
